Experienced architect

We are looking for an experienced software architect to join our engineering team. Members of the engineering team work collaboratively as a group to develop systems and infrastructure to serve the needs of our fast growing business. We are looking for staff-level backend engineers to lead initiatives to improve critical infrastructure for services, storage, and orchestration.

What you will do:

Take ownership and responsibility for designing, building, shipping, and maintaining critical product features
Design and scale core infrastructures, optimizing for long-term maintainability, performance, and reliability
Improve monitoring, tracing, profiling, debugging, and deploying
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Lead technical discussions and help drive product decisions with product managers, designers and frontend engineers

What we are looking for:

7+ years of experience in developing/architecting large scale web services
A Bachelors, Master or PhD in Computer Science or related fields from a top University
Experience in databases, distributed systems, and backend performance measurement and optimization
Proficient in Python or other programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++
Familiar with web frameworks such as Django
Experienced in MySQL, Redis, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Cassandra
Great understanding of database internals like transactions and indexes. Experience in database schema design
Experience in working on the AWS
Clear understanding of HTTP and networking
Good understanding of *nix operating systems

Frontend developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate frontend developer to join our dynamic team. As a Frontend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the user interface of our monitoring platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and visually appealing web applications, focusing on user experience and performance optimization. What you will do:

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to design, develop, and implement responsive and user-friendly web applications
Translate design wireframes and mockups into well-structured code, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers
Write and comment clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks (primarily Vue.js)
Optimize application performance, ensuring fast loading times and smooth interactions

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience instead of the degree will be considered
Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your frontend development skills and projects
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive web design principles

Senior UX designer

As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Stoutworks, you'll be working closely with all departments to develop our software, and the infrastructure surrounding it. You will be focused on modernizing our products by helping us create an industry-leading user experience for our clients' customers. You will facilitate the discovery and development of design best practices and comply with accessibility standards across the organization and display these through UI components and patterns guidelines within our internal system. Your contributions will also have a direct impact as you'll be providing meaningful change to the company and serve to enhance our processes.

What you will do:

Partner with our in-house designers and work closely / collaboratively with product managers, product team and development teams on product progression initiatives
Work on a spectrum of Web and App based products
Create and revise user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, mock-ups and deliver specs, based on specifications, goals, needs and limitations
Walkthrough mock-ups with stakeholders and the design/development teams, acquiring consensus and approval on designs and documentation
Ensure consistency with creation and maintenance of a library of components, interaction models and style guide
Review development features and provide guidance to ensure pixel-perfect experiences
Create prototypes of more complicated mock-ups when necessary
Continuously advocate for good user experience and design practices within the organization
Stay well-informed of UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in Influencing cross-functional product teams and the organization to achieve solutions that are right for our customers and adhere to the product vision

What we are looking for:

Solid grasp of UX design principles and strong foundation in UI design and best practices
Intermediate to advanced understanding of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite as well as familiarity with online user research tools
Familiar with the concept of component driven design
Knowledge of Accessibility requirements (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG)
Degree, diploma or certification in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, UI/UX, Computer Science or a related field is preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well under time-sensitive deadlines on multiple projects

Backend developer

What you will do:

Support architects and product team by executing on their vision
Conduct proof of concept on new technologies or solutions around Microservices
Participate in design discussions on scalability, performance, security, Microservices best practices

What we are looking for:

5+ years of service side development experience with Python (inc. Django, Flask), Java, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot with an emphasis on REST services

Excellent CS fundamentals; object-oriented design; design patterns
Experience in an Agile environment
Full stack development experience with Vue.js / vanilla JavaScript considered an asset

QA engineer

You applied. What next?

1. Application Review (1-3 days): Our HR team will take a look at your application to make sure we are a good fit for each other.
2. Screening Interview (1-5 days): One of our recruiters will reach out to you to learn more about you, introduce you to the company, and tell you about the role.
3. Test Task (3-10 days): This stage is all about giving you a chance to shine and to get a taste of what we do and you will be doing.
4. Tech Interview (1-5 days): After the test task, you will check in with the team lead about your skills and experience.
5. Job Offer (1-3 days): We know how hard it is to wait for a decision, so we really try to make up our mind in one day. But it's life, and sometimes it takes up to 3 days to complete the process.
6. Onboarding (1-6 months): During onboarding, you get to meet the team, receive full support from the HR team and everyone else, and learn everything you need for the new chapter of your career.
